Face Value 10 Cents | 1974 | Scott 1511

Mr. Zip, introduced in the 1960s by the US Postal Service, reminded us to use the ZIP code in our address to facilitate delivery of mail. We were again reminded of this “Zone Improvement Plan” with this colorful 1974 stamp showing forms of mail transport rendered in a dazzling pop art style. Interested in more history or stamp collecting stamps to pair with these for postage? Check out our other vintage stamp listings. These vintage 10-cent stamps can still be used to pay postage on current mail (using additional postage as needed to make up the current first-class rate). All are mint with full gum on reverse; however, due to the age of the stamps, we recommend use of a damp sponge instead of licking the back, or we might recommend using a dab of a permanent glue stick before mailing.

Shipping Info: We ship our stamps, stickers, and other flat items in a sturdy, flat mailer with tracking for the best protection. Because the post office considers this a “package” and not a flexible envelope, the cost of shipping is subject to package prices. This is the best way to protect your purchase.

T-shirts are shipped in poly mailers.
