Face Value 25 Cents | 1988 | Scott 2343

The US Postal Service issued this South Carolina commemorative as part of a series honoring the bicentennial of the ratification of the constitution. South Carolina was the 8th state of the original 13 colonies to ratify the document, on 23 May 1788. Issued in 1988, and featuring a Palmetto tree, these 25-cent stamps can still be used to pay postage on current mail (using additional postage as needed to make up the current first-class rate).  Keep one stamp for yourself and use the rest on your outgoing mail to your friends!

These stamps are unused with full gum on reverse; however, due to the age of the stamps, we recommend use of a damp sponge instead of licking the back, or we might recommend using a dab of a permanent glue stick before mailing.

Shipping Info: We ship our stamps, stickers, and other flat items in a sturdy, flat mailer with tracking for the best protection. Because the post office considers this a “package” and not a flexible envelope, the cost of shipping is subject to package prices. This is the best way to protect your purchase.

T-shirts are shipped in poly mailers.
