Electrify your outgoing mail with this stamp honoring the Rural Electrification Administration. Provided for in the New Deal under the Roosevelt administration, the act provided funds for the installation of electricity in rural areas. The project successfully provided electricity to out-of-town areas when it was not thought to be practical or possible. Showing an electric line stretching though a field, this stamp is perfect for your letters going to your rural friends. Interested in more science/industry/technology or history stamps to pair with these for postage? Check out our other vintage stamp listings.

All our vintage stamps can still be used to pay postage on current mail (using additional postage as needed to make up the current first-class rate). All are mint with full gum on reverse; however, due to the age of the stamps, we recommend use of a damp sponge instead of licking the back, or we might recommend using a dab of a permanent glue stick before mailing.

Shipping Info: We ship our stamps, stickers, and other flat items in a sturdy, flat mailer with tracking for the best protection. Because the post office considers this a “package” and not a flexible envelope, the cost of shipping is subject to package prices. This is the best way to protect your purchase.

T-shirts are shipped in poly mailers.
