Natural History: Tlingit Chief in Haida Ceremonial Canoe 10 U.S. Postage Stamps | Face Value 6 Cents | 1970 | Scott 1389

The US Postal Service commemorated the centenary of the American Museum of Natural History in New York City with these 1970 stamps. Featuring a Tlingit Chief in Haida Ceremonial Canoe, these 6-cent stamps can still be used to pay postage on current mail (using additional postage as needed to make up the current first-class rate). Show your mail recipients your love of natural history and make plans to visit a museum today! These stamps are unused with full gum on reverse; however, due to the age of the stamps, we recommend use of a damp sponge instead of licking the back, or we might recommend using a dab of a permanent glue stick before mailing.

Shipping Info: We ship our stamps, stickers, and other flat items in a sturdy, flat mailer with tracking for the best protection. Because the post office considers this a “package” and not a flexible envelope, the cost of shipping is subject to package prices. This is the best way to protect your purchase.

T-shirts are shipped in poly mailers.
