Face Value 20 Cents | 1983 | Scott 2055-2058

The US Postal Service honored American inventors with this set of four designs issued in 1983. These stamps showed Charles Steinmetz, Edwin Armstrong, Nikola Tesla, and Philo Farnsworth and celebrated electrical theories, frequency modulation, the induction motor, and a television camera. These orange-hued stamps are perfect to use on your correspondence to young inventors or science students in your life.

Interested in more science/technology stamps to pair with these for postage? Check out our other vintage stamp listings, all of which can still be used to pay postage on current mail (using additional postage as needed to make up the current first-class rate). All are mint with full gum on reverse; however, due to the age of the stamps, we recommend use of a damp sponge instead of licking the back, or we might recommend using a dab of a permanent glue stick before mailing.

Shipping Info: We ship our stamps, stickers, and other flat items in a sturdy, flat mailer with tracking for the best protection. Because the post office considers this a “package” and not a flexible envelope, the cost of shipping is subject to package prices. This is the best way to protect your purchase.

T-shirts are shipped in poly mailers.
