On July 29, 1958, Congress established the National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA), launching the United States into a bold new era of exploration. Just three years later, astronaut Alan Shepard became the first American to reach space. A decade after that, Neil Armstrong left his historic footprints on the Moon.

For 67 years, NASA has pushed the boundaries of science and discovery—studying distant galaxies, sending rovers to Mars, and reminding us all that the sky is not the limit.

To celebrate this incredible legacy, we’re spotlighting the 1981 Space Achievement U.S. postage stamps (Scott 1912–1919). These eight stamps commemorate milestones in America’s journey to the stars, from early spaceflights to lunar landings. Their bold designs don’t just honor the past—they capture the spirit of curiosity and innovation that continues to inspire generations.

Whether you’re a lifelong collector or just starting your philatelic journey, these stamps are more than postage—they’re tiny, paper time machines that connect us to one of humanity’s greatest adventures.

📮 Join us in celebrating NASA’s 67th birthday with a look back at these historic stamps. Because sometimes, the biggest stories come in the smallest packages.
